Cheverolet - 2010 Aveo will not start - Chevy Aveo

I bought an Aveo in 2010 and it ran fairly well for most of the time I've owned it until May15,2015. My daughter was driving the car from my house to her apartment which is about seven miles away. The car stalled out at a stoplight and she started it back up and drove it to her apartment. My husband went over the next day and found a large hole in the hose that carries the coolant from the engine to the radiator and the coolant had leaked out. We had the car towed to a nearby Pep Boys and paid almost $300 to replace the hose. The car would not start. The tech at Pep Boys said that the engine must have built up so much pressure in it to blow the hole in the hose. He stated that the engine is covered under the 5 year or 100,000 mile powertrain warrenty and we should take it to a Chevy Dealership so they could fix it under the conditions of the warrenty. We had it towed to a Chevy dealership on Friday and they told us that they had to talk to and get the ok from Chevrolet to do the work under warrenty. They said to call on Tuesday to verify that it was ok to be done. Today that dealership, Drivers Vilage, said they were told that the hose was not part of the powertrain and therefore was not covered under the warrenty, even though the car has only 64,000 miles on it and there is no way the huge thick hose could possibly have blown without a malfunction of the engine. This according to not only the Pep Boys tech but also two other mechanics that work for car dealerships that my husband spoke to. We are now in the process of getting the run around from various people at Cheverolet. These people could care less about their customers or their cars.
