Had my gas gauge fixed last week,on saturday Aug. 23rd I filled my tank for the first time, I noticed that gas was leaking, I took it back to the mechanic that did the original work, he showed me where it was leaking, I asked him if he could of damaged the tank when he took it out to repair the gas gauge, He said possible but he did not guarantee any breakage but would call Gm if there had been any recalls on the tank, they said yes but recall ended Aug.2013. They asked how many klm. the car had. I have 244,00 klm. on my 2003 rondevoux, they said Gm capped it at 240,000klm. because they figured that would be life of the car. My question is why is there an expiry date on a recall.I never got a notice from Gm about this problem, I file all notices received. Please reply to my e-mail thank-you
