  • Lemon

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2015 Cadillac Escalade in March 2016. At the time of purchase, the SUV had 42,000 miles on it. It currently has 58,000, meaning I only put 16,000 miles on the vehicle. I took the truck to Barksdale to get serviced and was informed that the suspension has gone out on a truck that I have not owned a year. Barksdale refuse to repair this issue and I'm feeling like I was sold a lemon. I have owned several vehicles and currently still have a 2007 Tahoe(10 years old) never have a had any trouble with the suspension or anything else. When I spoke with the... More...

  • Recall turns into $900 repair

On October 13, 2014 I took my 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to Harbor Chevrolet in Michigan City IN for the ignition recall. Sixteen days later on 29th of October my car would not start. Key found not turn. I had the car towed to Sauers Buick GMC in LaPorte IN. I was told the ignition needed to be replaced. $881.00 that cost. Car ran good, but in one week check engine light was back on, took it back on the 10th of October. This time I was told that is was an emissions problem, and another $49 for a gas cap. I was assured this was the problem, even though I didn't think there was... More...

  • the ignition recall!!

Every time I hear on the news or on the internet about this ignition recall, I have to wonder what is this company really going to do for these poor people. You see we OWNED a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix in which my son took to college. One evening he had just gotten to his dorm and was just entering his room. When one of his buddies came running after him to tell him is car was on fire. He had JUST gotten out of his vehicle and the next thing he knew, it was engulfed in flames....... CAUSED by the ignition switch. We tried for over a year to get GM to reimburse us or do some kind of... More...

  • Everything about GM Is terrible

I have 3 Chevrolet 2500 vans that have had numerous problems from yaw sensors , rollover sensors , airbag sensors , engine misfires, and now torque converters . Because my vans are two months past warranty , I get no assistance .I've tried to talk to the local dealer , and customer service to get help with cost . All the dealer does is punch in some numbers in a calculator to determine help they will give , and customer service is a joke . I was told that because General Motors have too many recalls , they won't work with anyone to offset some cost . I only have 40,000 miles on... More...

  • GM Customer Care

My 2013 malibu has 26.6K miles on it and has a noise that can not be identified by the service dept or GM. GM sends in an engineer to review and fix, and instead they REDUCE the noise by 90% and can't identify nor FIX the issue. I want them to provide incentives to me to purchase another vehicle since the vehicle I bought thinking it would be working 100% of the time, now is 90% reduced and safe to drive. This is crazy as I bought a car that I thought would work, not one that is unfixable with a noise that can't be fixed. More...

  • GM truck seat belts rip at 71,000 miles

At 71,000 miles on my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado the driver's seat belt started ripping on both edges. The damage was quickly diagnosed by the dealer as sharp edges where the seat belt comes out of the B pillar on the side of the truck cab. The regional service manager decided that this was "normal wear and tear" and said that GM would not participate in repair costs. Seat belt failure as normal wear and tear at 71,000 miles??? When I called GM they told me that the regional service manager has the final say, and that she has no supervisor that I could communicate with.... More...

  • Transmission failure

I purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu Lt in June 2012 from Taylor Chevrolet. Just recently while driving my vehicle my car just stopped suddenly in the middle of traffic. After getting my car towed to Tenneyson Chevrolet I was told my transmission went out and my power train warranty expired 5 months ago. I find it hard to believe that a car with only 66000 miles on the car and no problems or warnings can fail in a very dangerous circumstance with my 9 yr old child in the backseat. I have contacted GM and they only offered to cover only half the expenses I do not believe this acceptable. I... More...

Our Cadillac CTS is in the repair shop again for the same problem we paid over $1,000 to fix previously. GM's exec assistants used deception & delay tactics & failed to help with any problem resolution. Where is their training ? Oversight ? GM should pay this bill & compensate us for the grief of their inept incompetent staff and depriving us of our transportation while these incompetents pass the buck & create different file no.'s: 71-1305208758, 71-1302902747, 71-1303056124. • Third Bulletin on Cobalt

Yes, a third bulletin comes out over a month ago and I still haven't heard anything from GM concerning the $0.58 spring being in at the local dealership. I usually possess a nice demeanor concerning life in general but lets get real here. The first two bulletins were about very serious part problems as is the third and to use a baseball analogy: three strikes - you're out! What happened to quality assurance? Where were the engineers? There is no excuse for this one and that is why I am going to a different brand of automobile in the future. A disgruntled buyer in Oklahoma George More...

  • GM Scam and lack of care

I am a disabled Veteran of the US Marines. I also used to be a huge fan of GM and Camaro's in particular. My word is my bond and I expect honesty from an employer. Recently I tried working for GM at a Buick GMC dealer. Not only did I witness much inaccuracy to customers from senior salesmen, but I was also cheated in pay compared to my promised pay in contract. My last straw was being cussed out in front of the dealership. I'm a calm quit person so instead of fighting about it I quit and tried to file complaints to corporate and heads of the dealership. After them not slightly... More...

  • No help

I bought a Pontiac Torrent brand new in 2007. I've had a lot of problems with it since I've owned it. Current problem is the transmission. The torque converter is bad and needs replaced. I've contacted Gm and they have done nothing to help me, other than offer me a coupon for a new car. I have 2 kids and can't afford a car payment. All I want is my car fixed and all they want me to do is buy a new Gm vehicle. If they won't help me I'll never buy a Gm vehicle again, nor will any of my family. A lot of my family members own Gm vehicles but we will never buy from... More...

  • Avalance not worth it

This truck is not worth buying! My husband bought one 6 months ago with only 70,000 miles on it. At first it seemed like a great truck until the traction control light went off saying that it needed serviced we thought no big deal we'll take it to the shop. We took it in and was told that it is a bigger problem than just the traction control, however nobody seemed to know what it was. The truck began not wanting to shift into second gear, was running rough and burning through oil and gas. My husband contacted GM and explained the situation at first they seemed willing to help and... More...

  • General Motors False Advertising with slogan "Professional Grade"

I have been a loyal purchaser of GM vehicles since 1967. GM now promotes an advertising slogan entitled "Professional Grade". This slogan is false, deceptive and deceitful. Currently, I own a 2007 GMC Yukon upgraded with chrome door handles. Less than 2 years ago, the driver's door handle feel off in my hand (literally). The cost to repair was $150.00 plus tax. I am the sole owner of my vehicle (no kids) and maintain it meticulously. The reason for the handle falling off was it was housed in PLASTIC instead of STEEL. Now anyone can figure out that enough tugging on a... More...

  • 2010 GMC 3500 SIERRA DURAMAX

I have had my share of GM vehicles and nothing else, over the years. I have had problems with a few of them but nothing to make me start purchasing Ford, Dodge, or non American vehicles. I will never purchase a GM vehicle again! I can tell you now and will tell, email, tweet, facebook and what ever i have to do to get through to people to not purchase another GM vehicle again. What ever I do may not effect GM at all but if i can make 10 Gm purchasers change their mind about purchasing another GM then I am doing my job in informing people that GM does not stand behind their loyal customers... • Bad Accelerator pedal sensor on 2009 Chevrolet Impala LTZ

My issue was that I was four months into driving my new 2009 chevy impala and while driving on the highway driving 65mph my car showed flashing signal reading "engine reduced speed" "check stabilitrack" and my check engine was on. This all happened yesterday. After researching and hearing complaints about GM and how they are charging people anywhere from $250 - $600. We decided to take matters into our own hands. Once this happens you must fix it right away or it could lead to transmission issues. We took my car to autozone had them run a FREE test on my car order the... More...
